A beautiful antique bangle bracelet crafted in sterling silver, the face with an attractive buckle design and floral engraving, hinged and with a push-in clasp, fully hallmarked for the year 1885. Buckles were a popular motif in Victorian jewellery, as they symbolised protection and strength.

CONDITION
In good antique condition, with some surface wear commensurate with age including some yellowing to the metal - perhaps it was once gilded - and light scuffs and scratches. The bangle opens and closes with a firm snap as it should, the clasp is secure.
