A fabulous locket pendant shaped as a heart, the face featuring quintessential Art Deco "sunray" engraving, the reverse with a stamp denoting it is 9ct gold back and front, with space inside for two small photographs. Perfect for regular wear with a gold chain!
What is Gold "Back and Front"?
Lockets that are described as gold back and front have solid gold fronts and solid gold backs, usually with a hard-wearing base metal serving as the hinge and inner sections. These base metal sections were often gold plated to give an overall gold appearance. Back and front pieces are able to be engraved and are long-lasting pieces of jewellery.

CONDITION
In good antique condition, with some surface wear commensurate with age as shown in the photos. The locket opens and closes as it should.
