An excellent antique fob seal featuring a cushion-shaped chalcedony face, engraved with a sprinting fox and the phrase "Yoicks Tally Ho" upon a banner, referencing a fox hunt. The body of the seal is cased in 15ct yellow gold with a metal interior (not solid 15ct gold). The word "yoicks" is an exclamation used by fox hunters to spur on the dogs. A beautiful and collectable Victorian piece.
