A menacing griffin head has been expertly engraved in this carnelian face; it is housed in a gilt cased metal body with quintessential Victorian chasing. The seal makes a fabulous, crisp wax impression as shown. A perfect antique fob for collectors or those who want something bold to add to a chain.
The griffin in heraldry represents strength and courage.

CONDITION
In good antique condition; the seal face is crisp and free from chips or damage. The gilt casing is fairly worn as shown in the photographs.
