An incredible butterfly brooch crafted in silver, with real sections of blue morpho butterfly wings set underneath cabochon pieces of glass, with a pin and C catch to the reverse. A stunning statement brooch from the Art Deco era of the 1930's that is guaranteed to spark conversation and turn heads.

Butterfly wing jewellery came to be during the late Victorian period, however gained popularity during the 1920's and 30's when production was increased.

CONDITION
In very good vintage condition, the scales of the wings in excellent condition with no loss to texture of colour. With some surface wear to the metal as shown. The pin functions perfectly.
