- Measurements: 46mm (L) x 35mm (W)

A beautiful, well made and well preserved antique vesta case dating to the end of the Victorian period and the beginning of the Edwardian. The rectangular case is engraved on both sides, with a blank shield cartouche to the front centre which would be perfect for personalising with engraving. The lid opens to reveal the crisp English hallmark, both on the lip and inside the gilded (gold plated) lid. On the bottom is the match strike section, used for lighting the matches kept inside the case.
A perfect traditional gift for dads, partners, the best man at your wedding, or for anyone who appreciates antique silver.
CONDITION
In very good antique condition, with some light surface wear commensurate with age and use as shown. The lid opens and springs close as it should.
